I'm going to Boston in 37 hours! bye Hawaii!

Thursday, January 24, 2008

Well the Patriots have done it! They are going to Super Bowl XLII!

After two weeks of tough playoffs games, the Patriots stand as the best team in the AFC As for the NFC side, turns out my prediction wasn't accurate however I was very close. Last weekend was the NFC championship and it was between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants. After several Farve interceptions [specifically one during OT, I mean COME ON!] the freaken NEW YORK GIANTS, a NFC wild card team was victorious and advanced to the Super Bowl to battle my Pats. Seriously, Farve vs. Brady would've been much more entertaining than the amateur Eli Manning.

Wutevs'

Above all, I am very ecstatic that my other predictions came true. The Patriots will not only attend the Super Bowl but they will also have the opportunity to make NFL history. Being the only team to ever go 18-0, EVER [1972 Miami Dolphins were 17-0, back then there were fewer games per season]. I just hope and pray they'll get the last win and reach an unprecedented level, 19-0. Seriously, they will be a dynasty.

As for SB plans, I intend to have a party with my friends and possibly family. I want to get the banners and balloons all with Super Bowl and Patriots Vs. Giants signs all over. The last time I had a superbowl party was back in '05, when the patriots went against the eagles [and won]. Seems like I only have parties when they play huh? Hopefully things go as planned because this has really been the most perfect season.

Oh yeah, and to top off my Super Bowl frenzy, I also get to attend the Pro Bowl held here in Honolulu! I'm super excited because over five of the Patriots will be there including Brady and Moss My dad got free tickets from work but we don't know exactly where it'll place us, hopefully not in the nosebleed sections! That'll suck

That's all for now. I will close with a picture of Pats Vs Giants

Firstly, I'm proud to announce that the Patriots have gone 16-0! The dream that all thought was unnattainable and doubted for the past months has come true. The only thing left to make this all complete is a victory in the superbowl because without that Lambardi trophy the perfect regular season streak amounts to...nothing.

Secondly, the Pats have earned a playoff bye week which means their next opponent on January 12-13 will be the winner of the Wild Card game this weekend, either Jacksonville Jaguars or the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the regular season the Patriots have beaten the Steelers by a huge margin and challenged the Jaguars the season priar to this of which the Pats came out with a win, 24-21. However, I have a strong feeling that come AFC championships on Jan. 20, the Pats will face the Colts AGAIN for a spot to represent AFC in the Super Bowl. I can't say for sure I'm totally confident they will win, but like last year's disappointment (Colts beat Pats at the AFC Championship, one of the worst comeback wins in Patriots history) you can never say what will happen. The only thing I have to lean back on is the 24-20 win over the Colts in November.

For the NFC side, I predict Greenbay Packers will make it (only because I like Brett Farve and was pleased of GB's success this season). Since I'm obviously extremely biased, the Patriots will beat the Packers to win their fourth Super Bowl title in the last seven years! Can someone say dynasty? I hope I'm not jinxing anything ><

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention all the NFL records the Pats broke through saturday night's win over the Giants! (38-35)

  1. Tom Brady surpassed Peyton Mannings regular season TD throwing record of 49 by 1. So yes, Tom Brady threw 50 TD passes in 16 games and it's especially thanks to...
  2. Randy Moss caught his 23rd TD pass, beating Jerry Rice's record of 22. Sorry Rice haha.
  3. The Patriots have scored the most points in a regular season than any team in history. I forgot the exact numbers, but I know this was one of the record breakers!

Anyway, I am the happiest girl in the world right now. I got all this Patriots talk out of my system so now I shall eat breakfast! goodday to you

Here's a recap of everything that has happened this past week...

FINALS
I've completely 4/6 finals on Thursday and Friday. They were all kind of easy but the biggest one is coming up on Monday...the APUSH  final I believe it consists of 80 multiple choice questions (from ch. 1-15, ah!) then either 2 Free-Response Questions (FRQ) or 1 Document-Based Question (DBQ) all in less than two freaken hours! Now, under pressure, I can't say I work the best so the essay portion of the test will no doubt kill me. However, I'm fortunate to have made it into NHD districts because now I only have to shoot for a C on the final to get an A for the semester. Yay!

(my beloved) PATRIOTS
They beat the Steelers last week in an almost effortless game. Very surprising. The score was....I forgot, but it wasn't even close, which means one down, 3 more to go to have a shiny and perfect season!

CHRISTMAS
Ten days until Christmas and my house is still not decorated. I feel so...unspirited. At least today I put up this two feet tree with lights in the middle of the living room. It's pretty cute

MCR
I went to the My Chemical Romance concert and it was VERY fun. Initially I was hesitant to go because I've already seen them back in '05 and I knew none of their new material, but I'm glad I did. I still owe Royce like 45 dollars for the ticket but I promise I'll pay him back! Anyway, Royce, Shirani and her sister lined up for about 4 hours prior to the concert. At first, I accepted the fact that I couldn't go because my mom was super mad at me for God knows what, however, I conjured up a risky plan so i could. The plan was I would go with my sister Meiki to wherever after school then show my face at home. Meiki would then lighten up my mom while I clean my oh so messy room. After we would inch our way out of the house, and pretend to go christmas shopping at ala moana when really Meiki would drop me off at Blaisdel on her way to the mall. Okay, I guess it sounds kind of simple, BUT the sucky part was that by some sick twist of fate, my parents were planning to go to Blaisdel that same night! I was already two seconds away from the arena when I was informed of this so I decided to take a chance and pray I wouldn't bump into them. Turns out, though, my parents cancelled their plans of going to Blaisdel so the only thing I had to worry about was them calling my sister to talk to me (of which they didn't).

In the end, everything worked out as planned and I slept over Shirani's house afterwards. I really can't believe I danced, sang, jumped, got trampled on and sweated that much. It's been awhile since I went to a show plus MCR was SUPER good and Gerard, Mikey, Frank and NOT TORO (haha shirani) were soooo fiiiine haha. The only objection I have was that they did not play Ghost of You. I can't get tired of that song. Hm..what did i not mention, oh yeah, the crowd was pretty crazy as usual. We were all carried out at least 4 songs into the concert but we did have a good view from the un-mosh and crowded area. Seriously, mosh pit and short people aren't the best match.

Well, that's all I got! I'll be leaving for Ward soon to wait until my sister gets her hair done for a Christmas Party so that should be okay. Better than staying home.

Two weeks later...
12-0!
It's be a hard two weeks too. I've seen some close calls and some lucky ones. I've seen some missed opportunities and some bad plays. HOWEVER even if the eagles and the ravens keep saying "oh pats should've lost" or "we almost had them" the point is, they didn't. My Pats are undefeated and I'm the proudest fan out there

Next on the agenda...
Steelers (9-3) - I have a feeling this will be one of, if not, the hardest game on all sides of the ball. If the Pats slip by these guys then I know there's a great chance of going 16-0, but hey, I've been surprised before.
Dolphins (0-12) - uhh...not to sound too confident or big headed but...piece of cake??? hahah
Jets (3-9) - HA I hate these guys [except Chad Pennington ;) ] especially their coach Mangini (the one who ratted out Pat's Coach for videotaping). Freaken desperate ho, i know Belichick won't even acknowledge Mangini at the end...when the Pats beat their ass...heh
@Giants (8-4) - Giants will come into this game with almost everything to lose whereas the Pats already clinched the AFC division and a spot in the playoffs (last week I believe). Even so, losing is never an option so I know the Pats will treat this last game of regular season as if everything was on the line. Definite victory.

19-0? Heart on my sleeves and fingers crossed, I have faith it will happen no matter what the critics say!

ps. oh yeah, congrats UH for getting into the BCS sugar bowl game. Hawaii is seriously going warrior crazy since Colt Brennan, and thank God for him
